18 miles

by admin on Aug.30, 2008, under running

Well, I did it. 18 miles this morning. It was a pretty good run for the most part, except for the last four miles. I apparently left my little zipper open where I keep my gu. Two of the packets fell out, and needless to say, I ran out of energy short of the finish line. Note to self: dont leave pocket open where gu resides. The stuff tastes like flavored, well, goo. But it does wonders for your energy levels.

Anyways, thats it. I figured since I dont have any energy left to get up and do anything else, I might as well document the run, rite? Alrighty – Have a great labor day weekend!

Already….

by admin on Aug.27, 2008, under about me

So – I figured it was about time to go ahead and make use of my domain that I’ve had forever. So, here goes nothing. I dont know what this blog / site is going to contain or even be about. So fuggit. Lets see how much it gets updated / used / commented on. If you dont know me, hello. My name is Eric Gehrman and I live in Austin, TX – the greatest city in the US. I work for a great company called Ticketcity, where I work as a web developer. I’m an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. And on November 2, 2008 I will be running in the New York City Marathon. Which reminds me, I’m running for the American Legacy Charity, and I desperately need donations! I have two brothers, 5 nephews and 1 niece. And I have one dog named dupri.

So, I guess that’s it. Feel free to comment away and get this little bugger rolling. However, if you spam this blog – Hell will be brought to yourself and your loved ones. Enjoi!

-Eric

UPDATE:

I don’t work for TicketCity anymore, I ran the NYC Marathon in 5:13:13, and I have two dogs now. One named Milo and another named Dupri.
